Traveling To Scandinavia On Your Own

I'm a definite sucker for scenery. I might have to just do it.

I checked the general weather for the time I'll be going and it seems like it's standard NY winter temps.

I've never had an issue with the cold, as long as I have the appropriate layers. I bet that snow-covered countryside is breathtaking.

I highly recommend Frogner park, which is a large sculpture garden, and the Munch Museum. Near the museum is Tøyen Park, in which the which the University Botanical Garden can be found. The Kon-Tiki museum and ancient ship-building sites are worth visiting. Oslo has a fascinating maritime history.

Language ought not be a problem, but I echo Gaveston's advice to learn a few phrases out of courtesy.
