Hm, I'm thinking about buying a treadmill, and I was wondering if any of you people use one and have any recommendations.
I used to run track when I started high school, but I've since become too busy to keep up with the sport, and I've become very unathletic. I used to run on my free time, but I absolutely hate running outside even though its great for you.
I think I would run a lot more if I had a treadmill downstairs where I could run every day and put on the radio or CD and be away from cold winter weather.
So does anyone have any specific brands that work well or are useful? Something relatively cheap prefferably. I'm not looking for some advanced machine that measures your heart rate and hormone levels or something, just something that runs!
If I were you, I'd join a gym. Much more exciting.

Ick. Running on a treadmill kills my knees. There not good for your back and knees anyway. Join a gym or just go for a good, old fashioned run.

And once at the gym, use a ski machine. Much better and not as murder on the knees as a treadmill.

Also nice are Stair-Masters. And if you're right behind a delicious piece of eye candy, Stare-Masters.
Doing the same exercise every time is boring. You need to work your entire body. That's why gym memberships are great and they show you how to use the equipment so you're not intimidated. People of all shapes and sizes, from all walks of life go to the gym. It's one big happy family. What good is treadmilling alone in your room...
i agree with everyone ... join a gym and DONT run everyday. I was running on a daily basis for awhile but yeah my knees arent too happy ... the Eliptical machines are great ... use a high resistance ... you can feel the burn and you burn more calories than running!!
make sure you check out the gyms in your area for price, and what they offer! (gotta make sure there is eye candy for motivation!!)

I don't need a treadmill or gym--I have dog power! 2 that take me for walkies as often and as far as they care to go.
Note I said "they". I have no say in the matter.

I was thinking about the elliptical machine. Unfortunately, I don't have enough time right now to join a gym with my singing lessons, rehearsals, and school stuff, so I want something that I could access easily whenever I have enough free time.
