Little shop, little shoppa horrors.
Little shop, little shoppa terror.
Call a cop. Little shoppa horrors.
No, oh, oh, no-oh!

Little shop, little shoppa horrors.
Bop sh'bop, little shoppa terror.
Watch 'em drop! Little shoppa horrors.
No, oh, oh, no-oh!

So begins LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, the OFF-BROADWAY show that opened July 27, 1982 and ran for 2209 performances.

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS is a campy parody of B Grade Horror and Musical Theatre, featuring a nerdy hero, blonde bombshell and man-eating, rock'n'roll singing Plant.

As AUDREY II brings success to MUSHNIK's Florist Shop, MUSHNIK realises that although he doesn't like SEYMOUR, he has no choice but to adopt him.

As he sings about his quandry he reveals three things that he'll be if Seymour leaves him. What are they?

GOOD LUCK! Trivial Pursuit #103

Is it something like Beset Beffudled and bereft... that's what I'd be if Seymore left.

CONGRATULATIONS Lovettespies!!! re: Trivial Pursuit #103

YES! Mushnik sings:

"BESET BEFUDDLED AND BEREFT,
THAT'S WHAT I'D BE IF SEYMOUR LEFT"

In the introduction to MUSHNIK AND SON.

CONGRATULATIONS, and WELCOME to the Winners Circle! re: Trivial Pursuit #103

For your bonus points: What was the main difference between the character of MUSHNIK originated by HY ANZELL, and the one portrayed in the film version by VINCENT GARDENIA?

Hmmm, MisterRussell.

Not your bonus question, but you certainly are correct! re: Trivial Pursuit #103

For the Film Version of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, all of MR. MUSHNIK'S wonderful songs were cut!

So Vincent Gardenia's MUSHNIK didn't sing...

It looks like I have to give out two prizes today re: Trivial Pursuit #103

Your prizes: You have been sent to work in a terrible Florist Shop in DOWNTOWN, SKID ROW, owned by an uncaring and unkind man named Mushnik. But don't worry, things are looking up!

I've given you a fascinating little plant to keep you company...

Thanks for playing, folks! re: Trivial Pursuit #103

MUSHNIK AND SON

[MUSHNIK]
How would you like to be my son?
How would you like to be my own
adopted boy?
(I never liked him much before,
But count the cash that's in
the drawer
I've got no choice- I'm much
too poor-)
Say yes

[SEYMOUR]
What for?

[MUSHNIK]
Seymour I want to be your dad
I'll gladly treat you
Like my blood and my own flesh

[SEYMOUR]
Like Ozzie Nelson, Dave and Rick?

[MUSHNIK]
Like Honey Fitz and take your pick

[SEYMOUR]
Then kiss me quick, I'll be your son

[MUSHNIK]
Dont' make me sick, just be my son

[MUSHNIK & SEYMOUR]
Mushnik & Son sounds great
Three words with the ring of fate

[MUSHNIK]
So say you'll incorporate with me
A florist's dream come true
Mushnik and his boychik, you-
What business we'll do for F.T.D.

[MUSHNIK & SEYMOUR]
Like Andy Hardy and the Judge
Like Zeus and Mercury
Like Dumas Fils and Pere

[SEYMOUR]
In trouble sickness and in wealth

[MUSHNIK]
We'll share the plant and share the wealth
I'll call my lawyer

[SEYMOUR]
Call me son

[MUSHNIK & SEYMOUR]
Mushnik & Son, that's that

[SEYMOUR]
Officially I'm your brat

[MUSHNIK & SEYMOUR]
Consider the mnatter closed and done
Now to the world let's stick
Our Senior and Jumior shtick

[SEYMOUR]
Through thin and through thick

[MUSHNIK]
Through sloppy and slick

[MUSHNIK & SEYMOUR]
Through kiss and through kick
Mushnik & Son!

paradox has graciously allowed me to ask a "follow-up question":

What QUITE well-known musical theatre performer took over the role of 'Audrey' in the Off-Broadway Cast of LSOH when Ellen Greene left the show?

Correct, Bluemoon. re: Trivial Pursuit #103

When Greene left the show, Faith Prince assumed the role of Audrey.

It was her "big break" that got her richly deserved attention and lead her to being cast in JEROME ROBBINS' BROADWAY.

The cast of the 1960 Roger Corman film, the basis for the musical, included a future Oscar winning actor.

Name the actor
Name the role played by the actor
State a memorable quote made by the actor in that role

Good Luck!!
