It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story... AGATHA CHRISTIE, Life magazine, May 14, 1956

magruder!!!

You sly one you!

YES, Of course the Rodgers & Hart musical, I'D RATHER BE RIGHT, where Cohan played 'The President', was THE ONLY Boadway Musical he starred in for which he did NOT write the score.

WAY TO GO, magruder!!! re: Trivial Pursuit #144

Now for your bonus points:

What was the hit song to emerge from I'D RATHER BE RIGHT? It was recorded by Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and featured on the soundtrack of a quite well known 2001 Movie starring Renée Zellweger.

magruder, there's just NO STOPPING You this Friday night, is there?

YES, "Have You Met Miss Jones?" was the only hit to emerge from I'D RATHER BE RIGHT, and was heard quite prominently on the soundtrack of BRIDGET JONES' DIARY.

CONGRATULATIONS, magruder!!! re: Trivial Pursuit #144

And your prize?

Well, you want to marry your sweetie, but you're concerned about the welfare of the Nation, so you won't do it until the President balances the Federal Budget!

You'll meet with ALL types of Government Officials, high and low, and in the end decide to get married just on pure faith that things will somehow work out--Budget-wise! re: Trivial Pursuit #144

Enjoy your weekend, everybody!!! re: Trivial Pursuit #144
