The Management of the original stage production of FUNNY GIRL were unable to get the rights to Fanny Brice's "signature" song, "My Man," so songwriters Jule Styne/Robert Merrill wrote a new song for the Fanny Brice character which "evoked" "My Man."

Who can tell us the name of the new song?

Glebb had to dash off to work but he wanted me to let you folks know that Streisand DID sing "My Man" in the FILM version of FUNNY GIRL.

Didn't she also sing it after the curtain call closing night of the Broadway run in tribute to Fanny?

You are CORRECT Sir!

(I don't know how she got away with it because technically, curtain calls are part of the production and the stage version of FUNNY GIRL wasn't suppossed to include "My Man)
