Who was suppossed to be the Composer for ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, but unfortunately, passed away before production could start?

YES, Jerome Kern was slated to be the composer on the Annie Oakley musical project that eventually became ANNIE GET YOUR GUN.

Now for your bonus points: Before Kern was going to start work on that project, he composed a new number for the 1946 revival of SHOW BOAT (which turned out to be the last song he ever wrote.)

What was the song?
