I read this a while ago, and I can't remember what it is.
It's has a group of kids that talk like adults, and hang out in a diner. I remember they talk kind of tough. I thought it was John Guare, but now I don't think so.
Anyone know? I'd appreciate it.

No, this was basically adult parts, but it was meant to be cast with children. And they were tough, I think.
'Kennedy's Children' by Robert Patrick?
When You Coming Back, Bugsy Malone?
This tough?

I should have said before. Definitely not Bugsy Malone. This was a serious play and the fact that it was played by kids made it kind of disturbing.

Are you sure it was a diner? What about Suburbia by Bogosian.

It wasn't all at a diner, but it wasn't Suburbia. It might have been a one act.
Like I said, I thought it was John Guare, but maybe someone like Durang or even Sam Shepard.
I can see how you could confuse those playwrights. They are all so similar.
