Tulane University...

Is this a real college??? I am only a sophomore and they sent me a letter. Usually when a college sends you a letter when you are a sophomore, it is junk. They send the noticed how I am interested in searching for colleges so early. So, junk or not??

Well, it certaintly looks real.

I was getting stuff for colleges since freshman year of high school.

"SUNY Binghamton, yes. I'm sure getting a degree from SUNY Binghamton is very useful. Normally to get a degree with that kind of credibility you'd have to study in Guatemala or Haiti."

Tulane is a very nice college. My friend just got accepted there, and she will fit right in. I looked at it myself, but it wasn't for me.

I actually have a friend that is a junior there right now. She's originally from NYC but she seems to like it a lot.

Did you take the PSATs? They send a million letters when you fill out the little survey thing on the answer sheet.

Nope, but I did take the new PLAN test. I don't think that was it. I joined some scholarship site.

Go rent the Pelican Brief and watch it...Tulane is featured there...

Tulane is a good, and I thought famous, school (as I'm sure you'd figure out yourself through research) - I think it was also the #1 party school at one point being in New Orleans and all.

It is a very good private university in uptown New Orleans. It doesn't attract a lot of locals who seem to prefer LSU in Baton Rouge but it is very popular with out-of-state students. Beautiful campus and a strong academic program. The Law School and Medical School are very highly regarded.

while the New Orleans campus is well-known, i believe the University has several locations across the country. Perhaps a WWW search would be helpful.

Tulane is also known as a major league party school - I think even giving University of Florida a run for it's money in that department.

i would guess that would be the Big Easy campus, which is not surprising. As i remember, LSU in Baton Rouge and UT-Austin also ranked high on those party lists. Southern delayed adolescence, polite repression, evolving gene pools, and alcohol make for some very pretty very frisky co-eds.
