The 2026 Oscar nominations will be announced this Thursday, Jan 22. I saw a film this weekend that I think might unfortunately get overlooked: Twinless. I watched it (3) times this weekend. It's available to stream for free w/a Disney+/hulu subscription.
I love the screenplay, the direction, and especially Dylan O'Brien's performance in a dual role as twin brothers. Michael B. Jordan is getting buzz for a "best actor" nomination for also playing twin brothers in "Sinners". I saw "Sinners" and Jordan's performance, and I have to say I prefer O'Brien's work over Jordan's.
Twinless is a movie that shouldn't be talked about until after it's been seen. It's also a movie that should be watched at least twice (you really will appreciate the second viewing).
The nice thing about streaming a movie vs seeing it in a theater is that you can view it again immediately after your first viewing. ...and that's exactly what I did. To tell you why would constitute a "spoiler", but it will be like watching a wholly different movie if you watch at least the first 20 minutes of the film immediately after you finish your first viewing.
