I've tried searching, but I couldn't find anything. Could someone please explain to me the types of voices there is, for example, alto, mezzo, and all that stuff?

I'll give it a try...someone correct me if I make a mistake.

Starting with female voices:

Soprano is the highest
Mezzo Soprano is kind of between Alto and Soprano
Alto is a lower female voice
Contralto is the lowest female voice, and kind of rare

For men:

Countertenor I believe is the highest, and also quite rare
Tenor is the next highest
Baritone is in between Tenor and Bass
Bass is the lowest

Did I get that right?

Equity is a union that actors can join. You can become a member by three ways:
1) By getting hired for a show operating under a standard Equity contract.
2) By compiling 50 weeks of work at any of the theaters that have been accredited by Equity to administer the union's Membership Candidate Program.
3) By being a member in good standing in one of Equity's sister unions, a policy called Open Door Admissions.
No two members of Equity can have the same name. If your name is a common on, you may have to change it. If you apply for membership have at least two alternative names ready.
I hope that helps. I learned all this and much more from The Complete Idiot's Guid to Acting.

Yeah that's totally right and also just a little side note to that :::
The second you start working with an equity theatre speak to the business manager to get the papers to sign and get your check sent in right away to start getting your equity points because they start counting your weeks from the date on your check so make sure you have it in as soon as possible so you don't get jipped any weeks!!

The RumTum Tugger is a curious beast!
