Flipper just got a call back for A.C.T. (Academy of Cinema and Television). But it's a pretty costly school/program ---Are they worth the price of admission?

I am starting to freak out a bit...the damn call back commitment time is only 2 hours and 15 minutes from now.

By the way I still can't quite believe she got a call back in the first place there were over 500 kids there. It's mind blowing.

What's the harm in going to the callback? Unless you have to PAY for that, in which case I would say RUN AWAY.
See what happens and do some research.
Is it very expensive?
Is this something SHE wants? (I mean REALLY wants?)

Remember, you should never pay an agent except for commission AFTER they get you a job. I know this is a training program, but be careful of scams. Many are willing to take advantage of people who aspire to be a star! And many are legit, too. Just be wary.

Well it's not an agency -- apparently it's a call back to be part of these classes/workshop-- I'm playing catch up now because I never took the thing seriously. And yes they want money up front. And I am not sure how committed she is...she got this initive in the mail and went to the audition on a whim.

apparently for the classes. Not real clear and I won't be the one going to the call back.

Actually her first and middle name only is very hip and cool I coul see her dropping off the last name.

My opinion: not worth the cost. You only pay that much if it gets you serious connections, and the folks at ACT don't have 'em. That's my two cents.
