The link is the first of several that I hope to post shortly which should put some #s behind my dad's suggestion that there's a optimum window in which to recruit killers in the US. I'll hit up a few military contacts for some stats related to recruitment & those killed in action as soon as I can.
I'll also try to dredge up more current data from reliable sources and encourage any interested bww poster to contribute as well. I'm fascinated by what I perceive to be a nexus between homicide, gang-activity, military recruitment, prison rape, hyper-masculinity in pop culture, and gender politics. Just wish I were more adept at connecting the the dots. Sociology is not my lane.
