I guess Laura Bush forgot that Hillary is not only an ex-First Wife, but a sitting Senator. It surely cannot be "out-of-bounds" for a sitting Senator to criticize the Administration. Unless of course all harsh criticism is out-of-bouds.

"From ABC interview of Laura Bush at Winter Olympics today:

Q Before I let you go, one political question, because I'll get fired if I don’t ask at least one political question. The ceremony for Coretta Scott King was just so moving, all the speakers at that. Hillary Clinton has now taken a little bit of the forefront. And I know that you all travel together, and just a week before, she had some very harsh words about this administration, saying it could be one of the worst -- go down in history as one of the worst ever. Is that just politics, is that fair game, or is that out of bounds, a statement like that?

MRS. BUSH: Well, of course I think it’s out of bounds. But I think it’s politics, it’s certainly politics. President Clinton and President Bush and President Bush number 41 who was with us, as well, are in a club together, and really, I think, wives of the Presidents are in a club, as well. We know what it’s like to live in that house. We certainly know what it’s like to have your husband criticized. So I think there’s a certain empathy that we might have for each other that we wouldn’t have maybe for somebody else who said something like that."

I think Laura's point is that it is "Out of Bounds" to EVER criticise the president-- he is after all, the PRESIDENT, our chief executive, a living embodiment of "America" and should not be treated disrepectfully by, say, calling him a "liar" or questioning his judgement, especially in reference to a military action. I think it's high time someone pointed this out and I'm sad that this had to be handled by the first lady, who holds a national office that is due even more respect than the president in that she is not an elected official or paid for her work, so she should never never never ever be criticised or mocked. It's just so terribly unamerican. Thank GOD the Republicans at least understnd this sacred obligation.

I urge all Americans to comport themselves like good Republicans! NEVER citicise our leaders! Look at their sterling example! Although they certainly had their disagreements with our former President Bill Clinton, they publicly smiled and supported him 100% especially when our troops were overseas fighting for us! The Wall Street Journal is a cornerstone in the "Mainstream Consevative Media" and they would NEVER have published, say, an article that speculated, without a scrap of evidence, that President Clinton was a cocaine addict who had MURDERED several people! It's absurd to even consider! The Republican Leadership would never have questioned his military leadership by saying, for example, that he had launched unnecessary military attacks on America's enemies to cover up a sex scandal! That would be ridiculous! And of course, the Republicans would NEVER EVER go after someone's Spouse or family to smear someone they disagree with! Imagine Republican Mouthpiece Rush Limbaugh accusing the first lady of Lesbianism or even MURDER! That's as unbelieveable as him saying that the presidents daughter is a "Dog!" America would have not stood for that any more than they would have stood for thrice married Newt Gingrich lecturing us about family values!

So God Bless America and God Bless our wise benevolent leaders! How lucky we are to have such principaled, wise men leading us in this dificult time!!!

"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen." Conan O'Brien

If they are truly traveling together, that must be one enteraining plane ride.

Bush 1 yucking it up with Bill Clinton, Laura giving Hillary the stink eye, and Bush off in the corner with Condi and his mommie.

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian
