Wow that one with the ships going over the sea wall. Amazing! The mere for of the water!

Watching that was both surreal and frightening. I saw the person driving the car at the very beginning and I couldn't imagine if that person survived as the water picked up speed shortly thereafter.

I'm kind of curious as to how soon after the earthquake hit that the tsunami occurred.

I'm just curious if any of those people in the cars/trucks survived? I remember after the Thailand tsunami, some media "catastrophe experts" advised (if possible) to try and crack any glass/window in the car and try to escape (they showed a controlled underwater car/flood scenario)...the thought being that even w/the extremely forceful current, one might have a slim chance to to swept up and perhaps catch onto something relatively stable and hold on for dear life and rescue.
