you'll love it tink
How funn! I'll have to see if I can spot anyone wearing a pair when I'm in Germany this spring
I hope so. I've always loved learning about the country/culture. 6 -7 years ago we sent my grandparents there for their 50th wedding anniversary. My grandfather visited the towns where his family was from (I don't remember the names at the moment, but he promised to give me a map/guide he made when I go), and was just over joyed.
Germany is amazing, and the most wonderful people. I was traveling with 10 friends and on our way back from Rothenburg, we remembered this little restaurant. We went there, walked up the stairs but they were closed. They were playing cards with friends in the restaurant. We turned to walk away and they came to the door and actually let us in. They proceeded to make the best weinerschnitzel we ever had. We stayed for 3 hours and they created one of the highlights of the trip. I can't wait to get back there.

Aww - those are great. I love the description "traditional blue and white Bavarian rhombus pattern..." Very cool footwear!
Germany is gorgeous. I haven't been there for a few years, but need to plan a trip! My last jaunt was to Cologne right before Christmas time. The entire city was decorated and the markets were in full swing - so beautiful (and I got all my Chrismukkah shopping done while I was there!).
