Saw this at the Paris last night. It's getting a lot of flack for being sappy, cutesy and cliche (with - judged rationally - some justification) but I found it completely engaging and sentimentally satisfying. Terence Stamp and Vanessa Redgrave are superb and have wonderful chemistry. Stamp's rendition of (don't want to spoil it) and Redgrave's of True Colors were beautifully done. Gemma Arterton is also wonderful.

Stamp and Redgrave's pairing offers the joy of seeing two greats of their generation that Trintigant and Riva brought to Amour. The two movies tread similar end of life marital territory in, of course, completely different styles. There was also a trailer for a third movie starring yet two more old pros with a very similar theme: "Still Mine" with James Cromwell and Genevieve Bujold, which looks very promising.
