The money bit may be outdated...but going from $200 to $2 million for passing Go? Too bad the minimum wage for this country hasn't been Monopolyized (is that a word?).

It is spelled monopolized -- or monopolised, if you're British - but I don't think you're using it properly.

ETA: Since you capitalized the word, I suppose it has a different meaning.

Roxy - there was a Rome edition, but I only stated cities that I actually own. Rome is no longer available. There is also a Simpsons version that has Springfield as the city.

Well ST2, I was going for the use of the game name in the word. I know the word Monopolized...but yes, I was going in another direction.

JustMe2, I know what you were trying to say. I had no idea there were so many versions of Monopoly. Ghettopoly intrigues me. What are the playing pieces like?

Is the ghetto one liscensed by MB? That is so - un pc! lol. FAO Schwartz had an edition that had real money in the bank, and had Ruby's and Emeralds embedded in the houses and hotels, as well as a diamond in the ring on the luxury tax square. If you wanted to see it - you were ushered into a room with a guard before they pulled it out.

I have eleven altogether. If you look at the ebay link Dottie - page three has a french version, but I can't tell if it is Paris specific, or an actual French version.

In this game you don't "Go to Jail", you "Go to the SM Cellar". You aren't "Just Visiting", you are "Just Peeping Through The Glory Holes". Instead of buying real estate you buy the famous gay bars of Amsterdam. To make the bars and discos more valuable one may purchase barkeepers and "backrooms"! A player landing on a bar or disco owned by someone else must pay the bar tab. If barkeepers or backrooms are involved the tab can really go up!

all I know is I want the Monopoly Euro Collectors Edition, which is extremely rare and hard to find, and the place that advertises it is always out of it....
