Usdan's New Pre-Professional "Summerstock" Program

Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, whose alumni include Natalie Portman, Seth Rudetsky, Maria Carey, Lisa Gay Hamilton and many other distinguished artists, announces its new, selective "Summerstock" program for summer 2012, for accomplished 11th and 12th graders who intend to major in theater in college. Studies include all areas of production under the guidance of directors, designers and teaching artists, with multiple productions and on and off campus performances.

The next Open House at Usdan, the nationally acclaimed summer arts day camp, will be on Sunday November 20 from 11 AM to 2 PM. Each year, more than 1600 students from New York City and throughout the Tri-State Area are transported to the Center in the Huntington area of Long Island via air-conditioned buses. There are more than 40 programs to choose from in music, dance, theater, visual arts, creative writing, nature and ecology and chess, and no audition is needed for most courses.
