This has become an EVENT!!! - Last year they "over sold" - people sat in the aisles with a "cancel" line of a 100 people outside (It's a movie-not a show-duh!!!)

I had the privilege to see this at the Chelsea Cinemas in 1997 with Barbara Parkins, Patty Duke and Lee Grant in the audience. The event was presented by AMC and was hosted by Whoopi Goldberg. There was a Q&A at the end of the movie.

Can someone please explain to me why 20th Century Fox has released this movie on dvd everywhere on the planet except the USA?

I'm very surprised to hear that Duke showed up for a screening, considering the negative way she describes the entire filming experience in her book.
