So, my question is...WHEN are they gonna make a decent film version of my favorite comic book heroin, Vampirella? She was my first real introduction to sex - in comic form - very hot...and thats coming from a gay man...LOL...

They can't even make good Vampirella comics anymore, let alone make a sensible movie with her.

I couldn't agree more - the original from the late '60s is the best - and Frank Frazetta is the supreme in rendering her...

I think I prefer the Jose Gonzalez stuff to Frazetta (not to dis Frazetta at all.) But as a straight kid discovering all sorts of things, the Gonzalez Vampi was something special.

I like his stuff also. I guess I will just always have a fondness for Frazetta because his was the first interpretation of her that I ever saw. I have been researching her on line lately (I guess you really DO relive your childhood eventually...) and I want to do a sculpture of her - there are a lot of great ones out there - Azimuth designs is my fav so far - but I want to try for myself, once I get moved this summer - She's just such a great character!
