Hey all,
I am looking to reconfigure my internet/phone and tv in the city. We've been lazy because we are not there too often these days, and are paying too much for lesser service. Right now we have Verizon for our phone and internet and TW for cable. We do not have HD televisions, so wont be upgrading to that.
I've done some pricing and the best price for all is Verizon Fios for all three starting at $95. I could also leave the TW cable and just get Verizon basic phone and basic internet for $50.
I'm really just looking for imput from you consumers out there. I've never really had a big problem with TW, but have had a few bad service calls from Verizon (in NY AND NJ).
I have had very good luck with RCN. They have various phone/high speed internet/TV packages in different price brackets.
Their service personnel are great and they actually show up when they are supposed to (take note VERIZON!!!)
mmm...interesting...never heard any reviews of RCN.
Thanks!
I switched to them after 9/11. Verizon couldn't seem to get my phone and cable up quickly (I live in the Financial District). RCN managed within three weeks of the attack, have my systems up and running. I have not really had a problem with them at all except for one over night TV outtage a year ago.
I have RCN also. $104/month (incl. taxes, surcharges, etc.) for the bundle (basic TV, internet, phone - unlimited local calling). Very good customer service - digital conversion in Dec. was a cinch. They sent the "box" - super easy set up - did it myself.
