Hey all, I've tried doing some research and keep getting the same non-information on various sites.
I'm able to upgrade my iphone with ATT, but am considering switching to Verizon. My big beef with ATT is their signal strenght in NY/NJ. I'm on their 3G network and would upgrade to 4G, so I imagine it'd improve, but am looking for your feedback.
One pet peeve is that everyone else on NJT can browse, talk and text through the Lincoln Tunnel while my network drops me when we are merely approaching the tunnel! Also, there seem to be many cold spots around Manhattan where I cant get any signal.
Thanks
I was stuck with At&t when I first got my iPhone. It was pure garbage. Got no bars in my apartment and found major black out zones in Brooklyn Heights. Jumped ship to Verizon as soon as my contract is up and am very very happy!
I have no experience with AT&T. But, I will say I am very happy with Verizon. I am still one of those people without a smartphone, but do use the mobile web on my phone sometimes. I never have had any problems with using it in the Lincoln Tunnel. I also live out in the sticks on New Jersey and very infrequently have dropped calls or find it hard to hear people on the other end.
AT&T just contributed to Romney's campaign — making this the fifth straight presidential election where they’ve supported only the Republican nominee. AT&T also gave money to American Crossroads, the superPAC founded by key veterans of the Bush Administration to help elect right-wing Republicans.
I'm breaking my contract with AT&T. My phone sucks, the signal is terrible and the pricing is way above their competitors based on the features. Switching to Sprint (get a discount in service through my office) and getting the Samsung Galaxy S III.
I also switched from AT&T to Verizon. There were so many dead areas when I had AT&T.
Thanks all...very helpful! My instincts seem to be right about this.
The husband just reupped with ATT and traded his bbry for a Samsung Note...which he LOVES, btw.
