I need to get back into voice lessons...it's been a few years and I really need it! I want the best I can get here in the SF Bay Area...I live in San Jose, so does anyone know of any excellent vocal coaches near me??? I would greatly appreciate it!!!
Same with dance and acting. It's been about three years since I've done any performing and I'd really like to get back into it all...I want to get back into dance and get some more acting training...

For Musical Theatre dance, Dance Arts Center in San Carlos is the place.

For Speech Level singing, I only know of the Voice Studio in San Francisco-- highly recommended.

Posted: 7/1/09 at 12:23amI don't know enough to give you an unequivocal recommendation. I know it was life changing for my daughter, who had belted herself into a pre-nodule condition, and was actually prescribed SLS by an ENT who specializes in singers. Now her belt is stronger than ever, and she has a smooth bridge to a very high soprano. Powerful singers like Tina Turner swear by the Seth Riggs speech level method. I think it's a small world-- only certain studios are certified to teach it. You should investigate for yourself, and don't just take the advice of some anonymous guy on a message board.
