Voodoo Economics Redux
Voodoo Economics Redux#1

Massive new spending programs , new taxes on rich (for now) & slashing the deficit. I can guarantee many who voted for him now will see a massive transfer of money from their pockets to others & are now having second thoughts. Imagine, a politician keeping his promise. He told you what he was going to do & now he is doing it.
He is also going to cut medical spending to pay for his health care & will reduce payments to hospitals. I wonder if the NYS Muncipal Unions who have been ripping into Governor Patterson cut proposal will also start ripping into Obama for cutting hospital reimbursements. This will increase health care costs as hospitals pass along the cuts to insurance companies & patients. Imagine if GWB had proposed cutting medical spending.
It should be interesting.

Roxy, considering how often you show you know nothing about how the country works (specifically the economy), why do you continue to create, daily, threads bitching about how the country works (specifically the economy)?
Also, if you're right, don't you think you should spend your money now before the evil negro man can take it? Go buy your wife some new shoes while you still can.

Can't you just write
"The Rambling of an Old Man.... The Mr. Roxy Story"
By: Mr. Roxy until his bed time at around 8:30, then the radiant Mrs. R steps in.

Roxy, who is the "you" you've been addressing in your recent economic posts? And why do you keep reinforcing the fact that besides being a know-nothing, you seem to want to be a do-nothing too? It's as if you think everything's just ducky the way it is, which seems odd since you do little more than complain about the terrible state of things and how much worse it's going to get. You've been doing that since this site existed, by the way.
Oh, and, "voodoo economics" was an insult George HW Bush threw at Ronald Reagan's economic plans before Ronnie chose him for the VP slot. So you might want to think about your witty thread titles and their derivation.

"Imagine if GWB had proposed cutting medical spending."
Roxy, you really need to sharpen your research skills.
This from US NEWS and WORLD REPORT from February 2008.
"MONDAY, Feb. 4 (HealthDay News) -- President Bush's new budget proposal would cut $196 billion over five years from both Medicare and Medicaid -- programs that provide health care to millions of poor and elderly, federal officials announced Monday.
We don't have to imagine it happening...it did.
