not bad, in 2 hours you've knocked it down to 61-39 against. that's a 26% turnaround.

Yeah, because these polls mean anything.

Ok, we're in the lead.
Ironically there was a demonstration in DC today against gay marriage. Surprise, surprise, one of the "non judgmental" churches in the area organized this one. Another ridiculous protest occurred last week at a high school in Bethesda named after Walt Whitman because he was "purportedly" gay. I mean really, do these people have nothing better to do with their time besides protesting the name of a school?

Except for the fun of clicking over and over, what's the point of the bombing these online polls, when people on the opposite side are doing the same thing? It doesn't change the frightening comments you can read on those pages.

Those comments are frightening as well as the ones I've been reading on The Washington Posts website. I just don't understand all this ignorance and hatred.

Actually, you can't click over and over on this one (I tried).

You can try to vote again and it lets you but is says.... "Thank you your vote has already been counted". A second and third vote from the same computer will not be counted.

That was the Westboro Baptist Church; they don't count.
I had friends graduate from Whitman. Apparently over 500 people showed up to the counter-protest after school.

Orangeskittles, how funny that the local press didn't cover the counterprotest. That's nice to hear.

Now it's up to 88% yes. I guess it will remain legal in Iowa!

The good people of Iowa have spoken!
93% (2,566,386) support gay marriage and 7% (207,965 votes) are agin it.
Looks like pretty much the entire population of the state of Iowa voted in the poll.
Population: 3,002,555
Votes counted: 2,774,351

It's pretty incredible how the tide turned in that vote. It was running so against gay marriage when I voted yesterday morning. Glad it came out the way it did.

Was this note on there yesterday?
Note to readers: Clearly this is not a scientific poll ? and it is allowing people to vote multiple times.

I don't think it was Phyllis. And it did let me vote 3 times.
