"Voted early"? WTF?
yeah like 4 or 5 states do vote early....Texas starts and I believe Florida has started
I never heard of that! How odd.

In Florida, we began early voting last week. Is this only the case for some states?
No I think Texas has started as well
I've lived in three states and have never had the option to vote on any day but Election Day.
my dad vote early and voted for the president

I don't recall any other presidential election where early voting was offered. I'm sure this has something to do with Florida's voting history.
We voted via absentee ballot, but my parents voted today and said they had to wait over an hour in line to reach the polling stations. Most, in Florida, seem to be utilizing this early voting system.
Because in FLorida they are already experiencing computer problems....apparently it keeps going offline....god knows how many votes have been lost already
I voted early in Houston in 2000. Not recalling whether or not I did (or could have) in 1996 and 1992.
My father voted today in Florida. It was a hassle to do it, though he said.
If they have a week to vote, why is everyone going on the same day? Kind of defeats the purpose, no?

It has been like this everyday. We have friends who went last week and said it was incredibly crowded.
Yes, they have been having a lot of problems with the electronic voting machines. We anticipated this, which is why we did the absentee ballot. I'm concerned.... at least we know that Kerry has two votes that SHOULD count.
I just don't trust using computers. Would be sooooo easy to rig.
I just want a fair election. Hell, even if Bush wins--as long as it is truly fair, I could somehow live with that. I just want to believe I will live where the country feels that their President was elected fairly.
Yeah? And I want chocolate air. Neither are gonna happen.
hahah ballots that actually count? I didnt think those happened anymore?
Florida's computers have already crashed a few times and lost countless votes! Yes absentee ballots "should" count. But after the 2000 election we learned that a chad of any kind when it was for Gore in florida didnt count...so who knows what does and doesnt count anymore!

ballots are rarely counted.
It's all about the exit polls, which is wrong, but protected by the first amendment.

Spreading voting out over more days just opens up more opportunities for fraud.
What states are doing it, again?
Yum, chocolate air.
plum of course florida is doing it so there can be no way bush cant loose! :-P
We could always move next to a chocolate factory and get chocolate air!! At least, I know that to be true of bread and coffee factories.
NC has early voting too. My dad went last week.
