Just had to post a verrrry late review. Christopher Fitzgerald (Boq) has for the past few weeks been in my neck of the woods at the Williamstown Theatre Festival (WTF, funny huh?). Now I idn't get the chance to see him in Caberet and Main, but as Puck in "A Midsummer Night's Dream", he was awesome. I hope that when he leaves Wicked he can get a role that lets all his talent shine through. They set the play in modern day Williamstown. The cast was full of WTF alum who had come back to celebrate the festivals 50th B-Day. A true surprise was Andrea Martin as Robin Starveling she was just a hoot as the sleepy old tailor.
Yay! I was hoping he'd do a good job.

I wonder if the folks at Williamstown Theatre Festival realize that, on internet chatboards and in chat rooms, "WTF" means "what the f--k?"!
The WTF has been around alot longer than the internet.
yay for Chris Fitz! Is he out of Wicked for good? If so, anyone know what he is up to next?

No he's coming back to Wicked in a few days when Randy leaves.
I can see him as Puck, that's so him! Awesome!
Thats what i thought. I think he is a great boq. Still upsetting that Boq and Elphaba arent friends like in the book.

I don't like that they deleted Sarima and that Fiyero and Glinda are together. Too much change... the musical was cute, but the book had more substance.
Another thing that bothers me, is that in the play they named Fiyero's driver after Fiyeros friend in the book.

Yeah, Avairc? I kept expecting a lot of the minor characters to show up, but they never did. The book is a lot darker too. SPOILER-Everyone except Glinda is dead by the end. END SPOILER

I agree that the book is better, but I kind of liked the end of the show.
*Spoiler*
I think its even more of a twist on the story we all know and love to find out the the Wicked Witch really didnt die.

I'm a sucker for happy endings, (I do love Rent) but I just like the book better. I always like the book better.

i like the book better also! i dont really like happy endings, they're usually too cliche but i like the end of wicked because it still ended sad
I wish i had gotten to the end of the book. I lost steam when Elphaba and Fiyero where having sex. how does everybody die?
