Hi guys, I need your help. I'm coming to NY on October 4 to see Rent. Can you please tell me how long it will take me to get from the Milford Plaza which is 207 West to the Nederlander?
Because I will arrive on JFK airport at 3:30 p.m. and then have to get through the passport control and stuff, find my driver, get to the hotel, then to the theatre to get my tickets. And I'm really worried that I won't make until 7 p.m. to get my tickets... Please please say I'll make it... and MEAN it!!!!

I hope that's not Irish 4 minutes, because THEN I have a problem...
Thanks for the information, I was really worried. Now all I can hope is that I'm not held up at the airport and that I find that driver really fast and that there ist no traffic... Well, got 3 hours and 30 minutes...
Honestly, it is less than a five minute walk. Go out the entrance on 44th, turn left, walk less than a block to Broadway, turn right, and then south 3 blocks to 41st and you're there. You'll see the sign. You can skip to the theatre if you like.

Oh no! I just figured out that I posted the wrong address. So actually it is
270 West 45th Street
How far is that? (Sorry, never been to NY before and don't have any clue...)
The previous answers remain the same, fret not. Just hope your plane isn't delayed........

October 4 is a Monday. The performance won't start until 8 pm. Why are you rushing to get there by 7pm?
The entrance to the hotel is on 44th. You could leave at 7:30pm and probably still have time for dinner before the show. It's THAT close.

The hotel takes up the entire block from 44th to 45th and actually fronts 8th Ave. The main entrance is the 8th Ave one. They use the 45th St. address because before they cleaned up all the porn on 8th Ave, that Avenue had a bad reputation. And I do remember it being pretty seedy in those days (that's why I stayed there)
How strange, the website said the entrance was on 44th. Either way, it's incredibly close.

Sorry about the late response... German time sucks...
I have to be there by 7 because I have tickets at will-call and they will go back on sale if I don't collect them at 7 at the latest...

Hello, it's me again.
After having discovered that I threw our flight tickets in the waste and now having to pay a fee of € 65 for each ticket to get them replaced, I've now found out that I won't arrive in NY at 3:30 but at 4:15. Do you think it's still possible for me to get to the theatre in time?
I don't know what's been going on with me lately, this trip really makes me stupid!
Thanks for your answers.

In the worst conditions, I can't imagine it taking more than an hour and a half to get from the airport to the hotel. As long as you have no big problems getting your luggage, etc., you are fine.
If it gets a little tight, why not have your taxi driver take you directly to the theatre? Get your tickets and then go to your hotel.

We've booked a limo service... I guess that's what I'll do anyway, go to the theatre first and get the tickets... If I even have to because what I've now read about JFK aiport... OMG! It took some people 4 hours to get through immigration and customs.
