I just got back from seeing this movie and I wanted to say that it is amazing. I was moved by this movie a lot more than I thought I would be. There's been a lot of hype in my hometown because Nate Ruffin, one of the main characters, is from here. We were all excited that there was a kid from our town and he was the main reason we wanted to see the movie. As it turns out Ruffin is one of the most inspirational players in the film. I think that Anthony Mackie did an outstanding job in his role as Ruffin. This movie is more than just another football movie. It really is amazing. I highly, highly recommend it to anyone looking for a movie to see anytime soon.
Well I guess I can't say I guarantee you'll like the movie, but I would bet there is a high probability that you would. I mean to each his own and all, but this movie is excellent.
I have heard good things about it - and both Matt's were on the View yesterday with two other cast members and there were some pretty touching stories. McConahay seems really full of himself, but it could be toungue in cheek. After all - I blame the fans and People magazine for his ego, as well as a lot of others. It's our own fault. lol.
I mean, he is gorgeous. He probably is full of himself but here's my theory: This is a beautiful movie. Don't let ONE person out of the whole cast ruin it for you. He may be the lead, but if you happen to have a problem with him just let it go for two hours.
Ah tissues - I had to hand them out at Dreamgirls last night! Thanks for your thoughts on the film star - I was thinking of waiting for DVD - but maybe I can sneak it onto my current list.
Yeah, I personally think you should! I think they chose to release it at a bad time.. there's way too many huge movies coming out right now for Marshall to get the recognition it deserves, IMO.
