And if no one paid attention to them and their utterances, the story wouldn't gain legs and would die quickly, largely unnoticed and they wouldn't get the attention they so desperately crave.

So, the best advice, as with the Kardashians, is to... just ignore them.

Could not agree more. However it's very similar to driving by a terrible accident on the road.You try and try to look straight ahead but your head slowly turns and then you see the horror!
