I love how their faces are blotted out like they're too embarassed to even show them.
Ugly Bridesmaid Dresses...which one's your favorite?
I was just about to post that link. The original is still the best.
Is there a male equivalent to the "bridesmaid dress?" And I don't mean a tux, you smarta$$es...

Really, why do women lose all taste when they get married? I have never been to a wedding that featured attractive bridesmaid's dresses. How can that be?
Could it be they're so focused on the wedding and what they'll look like that they totally disregard the bridesmaids? (which is the most plausible explaination in my mind). I mean ... good Lord, those dresses are hideous.

It's a way of being sure you are the best looking in a lineup.
My brother's wedding had a rainbow theme in the 80s...those poor girls...polyester lace.
Yes, a wedding seems to bring out the wicked stepsister of most brides.
Behind the delicately arranged baby's breath, warm glow and demure smile, the inner monologue is something like:
"This is MY day...mmm, yes these dresses look nice and sh*tty...no WAY are these bitches going to upstage MY ass!"
I can't stop laughing. I also can't determine which one is the most heinous. Please, I don't care how good friends you are with someone, I would actually refuse to participate (especially if I had to pay for the damn dress).

I am recently engaged and, I swear, I will not do that to my bridesmaids. True, I am the bride and I want to look the prettiest on my special day but, damn, those other brides must have been PISSED at their wedding party.
hilarious
I always thought that the brides didn't want the bridesmaids to upstage them, so they put them in less attractive dresses.
(Though in those cases, I just think they have really bad taste. Hah)
The pink fluffy one look like Galindas from Wicked.
And the one titled "the Table Cloth" should be re-named "The Quilt Dress."
Man those are ugly!
Why don't brides let their attendants pick out their own dresses?
And that first one is the ecxact same one that was worn in 27 Dresses...
Uuuuuuuuuugly!
The stories that accompany the photos on uglydress.com are hysterical. I love the one about the wedding cake and the choir robe bridesmaids dresses.
Those are just aweful. LOL! There is no way I am letting anyone in my wedding party look that hideous. Sure, of course I don't want them to upstage me, but I would like them to look pretty and be happy. Plus, if they are dressed ugly, then it will ruin all photos. I decided I might just do it so everyone has a different dress, that looks good on them, and maybe just put a few small guidelines on the dresses. Like they all have to be the same length, color, etc... I will not pick ugly colors either.
I am torn between 2,5,8 & 10 although they are all beyond hideous.
I don't buy that brides would do this so the bridesmaids don't upstage them. Most of these dresses look so bad that they DO upstage the bride.
Either that, or the bride just has aweful taste and she's wearing something even more disgusting. LOL@
I eloped and avoided all that crap. But if I were to have a big wedding, I would take my friends shopping at Macys, let them pick out any dress they loved , and buy it for them. The whole point of a bridesmaid is to have your best friends standing with you for a very special moment in your life. Besides.. I HATE matching-everything in general. HATE.IT.
I think many brides get into the whole "let's create something magical by creating a theme"....as a result, you get these very costumey bridesmaids dresses that look like shepherdess, southern belles, milkmaids, etc.
Gawd! My sister had to wear some ugly dresses, and when she got married, her bridesmaids looked much better.
This reminds me that my newest guilty pleasure is "My Big Redneck Wedding" on CMT...it's unbelievable! Deliverance people gettin hitched!
The only thing wrong with the show is that it's hosted by Tom Arnold.

Beauty is in the eye of the bridesmaid.
Yup, they are a problem.
Oh, look! It's my favorite color: Horrendous!
