Wedding gift ideas needed

Two of my friends are getting married, and the bride wrote to me to ask for ideas for what she can give to the groom (he's one of my best friends, she's a friend, but mostly through him). Anyway, here's what she said she'd like to get him:

I thought maybe something that also makes an impact elsewhere in the world. Like a present that helps commerce in an impovrished country or something. You know of anything like that?

Anyone have any ideas of any cultural type gifts that might fit that that I can pass along to her?

A woman I used to work with used a site like this for her holiday giving (I'm not sure if it was this exact one, or another company, but the same idea)- is this what you're thinking of?

Trip for 2 to disney? kidding
