RENT is on direct TV pay per view, isn't this supposed to happen BEFORE you can buy the DVD

and something on E! (either 80's child stars or E!News)
was sponsered by the RENT podcast

No, it generally goes 1) theater, 2) dvd, 3) pay per view, 4) pay cable, 5) broadcast, and 6) shown a million times a month on TNT.

And such is the life cycle of a feature film.
