I guess it sounds cooler to say "owl puke" than "owl pellet." I dissected one of those in elementary school. I found most of a mouse skeleton in mine.

That was my first dissection in 2nd grade!!!
From owl pellets to rats...then fetal pigs next year....wow what a change.
I hate dissections!

I love 'em. I've done 3 fetal pigs, actually. And a mink last year. Not to mention all the "lower" animals...

Yup. In addition to the 3 pigs and a mink, I've also done 2 frogs, 3 earthworms, a starfish, a cow heart, a sheep brain, a pigeon, a perch, and a centipede. And those are just the ones I remember.
I always liked bio.

Have fun. Medicine was never my thing; I just like dissecting.

I loved doing the owl pellets!!! *Good memories*. I remember we had to make the skelleton of a shrew, mouse, and some other small animals....fun stuff.

I've only done a frog, very fun. Disecting rocks! How could you not like it, aspiring? I have never had to do an owl pellet, thank God.

I feel so behind, I only did owl pellets, 2 frogs, a grasshopper, and an earthworm.
And hang on, when did you win the discus?

How do you disect a grasshopper? They're so small.

It was one huge grasshopper. It was like a grasshopper on steroids and it was disgusting.

I dissected an earthworm, a frog, and a pig this year. I hate it!

We used rubbing alcohol. That smell will always remind me of dead frogs.

One time we had a lot of pig dissections in a closed room. Eventually the smell got so bad we had to go outside. My throat was burning. My worst dissection experience by far.
