My high school had a lot of beaurocratic crap going on - but I have to say, I don't think I've ever loved the group of people I was surrounded by more. There was such an exteme sense of warmth and talent floating around. It was a big school (our graduating class had around 570 students), but I spent half of my day in a department of around 60 people.

You can sum up my school in 1 word: Jap.
My school is known for drugs, jappy girls, and shopping.
Most people hate living there, but the school itself is one of the best schools in the country I think (public schools that is). I think it's #2 on Long Island or something like that. The teachers are great, there are SO many electives to choose from, so many clubs/sports, it's just a great place to go to school (besides for the students).
LOL, I live in the 5 Towns on Long Island.. all the other towns hate my town because of how jappy it is.
I've never heard the word jappy before.
You've never heard that word before? People use it where I live.

I don't know what it means either...
It's just used to describe someone who is a jap. Like "she's so jappy"
What is a jap?
I like my school. It's very...diverse?
Heh, Mandi, when my friends were trying to describe your school to me, they just went with "As middle class white students, we were a minority."
Is it sad that I've never been to Long Island and I still know what the 5 Towns is? It's because all those japs graduate and come to Syracuse.
JAP- Jewish American Princess
I'm gonna look up the word jap now...

Jap = Jewish American Princess.
Basically someone who is obsessed with their appearence, buys expensive clothing, and acts like they are queen of the universe. That's the best way to describe one I guess.
LOL, I'm sorry.. RachLaura used it so I assumed you would all know what it meant. I guess it's a long island thing?

Well, you learn something new every day right? I had never heard it before now.
It must be a Long Island thing.
hah. I totally got called that the other day. I think it used to be far more derogatory than it is now.
Heh, Mandi, when my friends were trying to describe your school to me, they just went with "As middle class white students, we were a minority."
Yeah, that's pretty much it.
Not just a Long Island thing. It's a NYC thing. So is WASP.
I don't think it's just a Long Island thing, but unless you have a significant Jewish population in your area, chances are you probably won't hear it. Like, how many of y'all know what AZN is?
I know what WASP means. I have no idea what AZN is.

I know like 2 people that are Jewish, so that might be it.
