Sometimes you're better off dead
There's gun in your hand and its pointing at your head
Last month I saw the Pet Shop Boys in concert for the third time and it was the best yet. I haven't stopped thinking about the show and how a group can work for so many years and still create stunningly original visual and musical art. It's a shame more pop stars can't keep their creative sparks flying for as long as Neil and Chris.
25 years of sublime creativity, always looking to give equal time to the pop and the art.
Too many shadows, whispering voices
Faces on posters, too many choices
If, when, why, what?
How much have you got?
I will even begrudgingly admit that segueing from their own "Se La Vida E" into Coldplay's (and you know how I feel about them) "Viva la Vida" was a genius move. The Pet Shop Boys would never stoop to Abba samples. They have too much good taste for that.
Have you got it, do you get it, if so, how often?
And which do you choose, a hard or soft option?
(How much do you need? )
In conclusion, Pet Shop Boys truly deserve the title of Gay Icons.

LOVE them! "It's a Sin" is probably my favorite Pet Shop Boys song. Glad you enjoyed the concerts. No one wanted to see them with me when they were in New York...now I'm really sorry I missed it.
They pop up on one of my Pandora (iPhone radio) stations often.
lol.
I love 'em too. I just recently played their latest, "Yes", for first time and haven't taken it off my ipod. And Fundemantal was one of their strongest ever. In short: they just keep getting better with age.
Love them. I went to their recent concert at the Greek. It was my third time seeing them live.
How are the West End Girls today? I heard they had a pretty rough night.
I have the same problem with Pet Shop Boys as I do with The Beatles and Björk. I love their music. LOVE IT! But I can't take their voices.
When you have that much bitterness and xenophobia in your heart, every night is a rough night I guess.

They were fantastic, right? The staging was simultaneously simple and complex as hell. Always something new to look at and visually stunning. Es Devlin should get some sort of award for her stage design. She's from the world of opera. Her work gave me goosebumps when everything came crashing down at the end of "Building a Wall," with its implicit nod to Pink Floyd.
