If you can manage, try to find something from another Bernstein show - like
On The Town,
Wonderful Town,
Candide, etc.
If you choose a Sondheim piece, either practice it acapella or take a backing track with you just in case the accompanist messes up (unfortunately, this does happen). That being said, I think you could probably manage "Johanna" from
Sweeney Todd, it has a lovely melody, although the lyrics may come across as a bit stalker-ish, it's still a nice song nonetheless.
"I am and always will be the optimist. The hoper of far-flung hopes and dreamer of improbable dreams." - Doctor Who
"Yes, the brutalities of progress are called revolutions. When they are over, men recognize that the human race has been harshly treated but it has moved forward." - Les Miserables
