re: What's do you do for a living?

Campaign hack. Sadly I have no personal affiliations with the performing arts outside of enjoying them whenever I come into money -- which in my line of work does not come often. Tonight I had the opportunity to go listen to some lovely local acoustic musicians and songwriters and on top of a day of wandering through the desert; I can honestly say my soul feels refilled. I had been suffering a major drought of inspiration and emotional fatigue-- today I am restored.

I work in a restaurant. I'm very good at it. Almost supernaturally so. One could almost call it a superpower if one were so inclined.
And no one grew into anything new, we just became the worst of what we were."

I'm an "aspiring actor" (aren't we all?) but to actually earn money I am a DJ. I work in a club as well as do private parties.
"Applause begets applause in the theatre, as laughter begets laughter and tears beget tears." CLAYTON HAMILTON, "Theory of the Theatre" "I think theater ought to be theatrical ... you know, shuffling the pack in different ways so that it's -- there's always some kind of ambush involved in the experience. You're being ambushed by an unexpected word, or by an elephant falling out of the cupboard, whatever it is." TOM STOPPARD
