Posted: 7/2/05 at 8:58amI can not believe this. I just went into the basement to get something and I found my What Becomes a Legend Most book with all the ads in it. I love the one of Joan Crawford. In the book each ad has the behind the scenes story with it. If you don't have this book, try to find it. Funny.

Margot had her picture taken along with Nureyev and Martha Graham. The weird thing is this is the only ad that is not printed in this book. The story of the shoot is in there, but where the ad should be it says,'For unknown reasons Mr. Nureyev refused permission to reproduce the photograph.'
Maria Callas is in here. 1970

Thanks nmartin.
I worked with Rudy twice, first time for a month and second time for three weeks.
Despite the legendary stories, he was never anything other than kind and helpful.

I always think of Rath when I see a pic of Dina Merrill.
Did Dina pose?

Posted: 7/2/05 at 9:14amNot sure, Glebb, but that would have been one hell of an ad.

The picture of Barbara Stanwyck is my favorite. She got frustrated and the photo is of her obviously saying the English equivalent of 'merde'.

When the hell will her "Annie Oakley" come out on DVD?
I'm tired of waiting.

No Dina Merrill. Claudette Colbert was the only one featured twice.
Oh, God. Marlene is in here. "Bwing me a miwah, darling."
