Tomorrow I'm auditioning for NYU for their Educational Theatre program, and I'm doing a monologue, having an informal interview, and participating in group activities.
I had planned to wear black pants, black shoes, and a black cardigan with a colorful scarf. OR black pants, black shoes, red shirt under a black cardigan.
But now my mother made me second guess myself about this, and she recommended that I wear black pants, black shoes, and a white w/ purple stripes blouse- that is really nice and sophisticated chic for a teen girl like moi, i guess...
SO WHAT SHOULD I DO?!
As long as you're not going totally monochromatic head-to-toe black, I would go with any of those options, provided:
-you can move relatively well (for the group activities)
-you feel good about yourself and comfortable
-you feel like you look "mature" and presentable
I can't picture the blouse, but if you feel good in it and it's fun and youthful, it sounds fine too.
Break a leg:)

another thing... i know i should have my hair back, but would it be ok if the majority was up and some was down... half up half down i guess(?)
That sounds great--it's off your face so they can see you, but still down so you don't feel too severe-looking or anything. Half-up is always my mom's favorite way to see my hair
