Regional theatre is your only hope. Stay strong!

Do tours pass by your way? If not some good 'ole regional theatre really is your only solution. Or just fly on up here! Although don't worry--I know quite a many people who haven't seen a broadway show and they're freaking a hop skip and a jump away from a theatre, or a TKTS booth if its too expensive.

There is escape from the midwest, reality. I've slowly worked my way from Madison to Chicago to DC - so now NYC is only a few hours away. The theater improves as you head east... Get your butt on a plane, pronto.

What is the midwest? I thought we called it the Middle East?

West, east -- whatever. In any case, you guys need to find some peace agreement starting with the West Bank.

Stop worrying about what I'm doing -- focus instead on what you're eating.

Zola - the mid west is a strange land with little tiny people with flower pots on their heads and tornados. You should visit sometime, it is quite a trip.

Reality, unfortunately this is your only answer -

I live in Ohio, the Chicago tour's here in two weeks and I'm seeing that. I'm looking foward to it, but all the things I really want to see I will probably never get to. It sucks to be me.

I moved to NYC ......

I was born a New Yorker and lived there for the first 18 years of my life. I moved to Columbia, Missouri which is in the middle of nowhere. Some of the best productions I have ever seen are in regional theater as well as college productions. True, there were many times I made the 125 mile trip to either Kansas City or St Louis to see the touring companies. Dont let your location influence the way you see theater. I live in Hartford now and The HArtford Stage Company recieved a
Tony for Best Regional Theater about 2 years ago. Theater can be enjoyed outside of New York!

Here in Chicago, we got to see pthe PRE-BROADWAY try-outs of AIDA, THE PRODUCERS, VICTOR VICTORIA, SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS, and MOVIN' OUT and will see SPAMALOT before it gets to Broadway. We also got to see Sondheim's latest, BOUNCE, and Kander & Ebb's latest, THE VISIT - neither of which is likely to ever make it to Broadway.
