What could "Chorus/Super" mean??
#0What could "Chorus/Super" mean??
Posted: 9/11/06 at 9:17pmI got a contact sheet for the opera I am in, and next to my name under "Roles" it said "Chorus/Super". What does that mean?? I know Super doesn't stand for anything I play, I am in the chorus and in a few scenes I am a waitress. Is it short for something that could mean extra or something? thanks, just kind of curious :)

Super refers to a non singing role, as Margo said, an extra. Chorus implies that they actually want you to open your mouth and sing.
One of the funniest skits ever was French and Saunders as the Opera Supers.
