This whole thing seems very.....scripted.

My mom totally lied to her friend to avoid any arguments, but I accidentally outed her...oops.

The sad part is is that I like my dad's friend. He is a great guy. I even spent New Year's with him and his girlfriend and her son one year at Universal Studios in Orlando. But, when it comes to politics I don't like him.
I remember how during that same trip where we spent New Year's at Universal we were in Miami for the Jets Dolphins game. Before the game along with the singing of the national anthem a priest came out and said a prayer. Now, we have been going to football games for years and this wasn't the first time seeing our Jets in an away game and this was something that we (my family) never saw in our lives before. When we were joking about it in front of him he thought that it was an amazingly great thing that they said a public prayer before the game. My family and I joked about it because we felt that a Christian prayer in public was out of place at a football game.

Badly.
It would be optioned immediately.
You say who you voted for and then if he starts up just tell him that you agree to disagree, or the truth: that you do not want to talk about politics.
