So! My birthday is on Friday, and I"m just thinking about what I want to do. Of course I'd love to go see a show, but I'll be at a horseshow. Anyway, I was just wondering what some of you guys do for your birthdays? I mean, I usually go out to dinner and that's about it, but I think we're going to go to dinner, and then do somethign else, butu I don't what. Ahh. I'm scared to turn 17. Eek

Well Happy early Birthday! First of all what do you want to do and what are your choices?

Dear lord.... 17. I barely remember that birthday lol
Um..... for my last birthday I went out drinking with my best friend and BF. But you know, given the fact that you're only turning 17, I don't know that I recommend that

Wait. I couldn't even bowl when I could see, blind girl bowling might be even worse. And, as for the drinking, though my mom would probably encourage it (Yes, she's a screwball.),l I have to be up way too early the next morning. Not that I know much about hangovers, besides what I"ve been told. I'm a good kid, too good, actually.
Well for my B-day, I saw Spamalot.
Well I wont be much help in this category.. I haven't celebrated my birthday in years.. I usually just work.. I say do whatever makes you happy..

HAPPY early BIRTHDAY!!!!!
I wish I was turning 17!!
I don't know what you should do for your birthday, bowling is fun though!!! Um...one year my friends and I went to a beading place and made necklaces. It was a lot of fun, I should do it again.

That's what my best friend did on his birthday... all he ate all day was cake... and then we went out drinking. Oh yes, we're a bunch of intelligent (but FUN!!!) adults! hahaha

What did I do for my 17th birthday? I don't remember.
Generally though its "do whatever I want to do day" and my parents have to go along with it no matter what it is.
Jarico's birthday is today. He had to work.
Those of you in your twenties who are saying you don't remember your 17th b'day are either full of it or you were really drunk that night.
My last birthday, a friend took me to one of those Brazilian steakhouses. It was a meat-eating good time! The next day, I felt like crap though. Meat hangover!

I am neither full of it, nor was I drunk on my 17th birthday. I barely remember what I had for lunch yesterday.....

LOL, both of you.
Hmm...haven't had my 17th yet, but I've always wanted to go bowling for my birthday. I dunno. It's so fun if you're around a bunch of friends. But lately, birthdays are getting old, and I'm just in it for the cake and favoritism.
My birthday's sort of suck. No one really knows how I old I am. This year, I honestly had more people tell me, "Oh my gawd, you're only 14?!" rather than, "Happy Birthday!"
Hmm... my 17th birthday was dress rehearsal for "Hello, Dolly!"
My 18th birthday was spent eating cake and going to school. Blah.
My 19th birthday... "The Merry Widow" in my favorite little black dress, white wine and hours of snuggle time.
My 20th birthday was election day and I found this Election Day Coverage Drinking Game online. You would take a shot every time you heard phrases like "swing state," "exit polls," "undecided voters," etc. However, since my friends and I had class the next day, we used V8 instead of alcohol. I had never realized how terribly, terribly salty V8 was until I'd swallowed bottles upon bottles of it. The next morning, we with our V8 hangovers determined that we would feel less sick if we'd actually gotten sloshed with real alcohol the night before. Good time, though, all in all.
Actually, I wasn't drunk- I'm never drunk, I just don't remember it. I remember my 16th. I remember my 18th. My 17th wasn't anything special probably.
CostumeMistress, your post reminds me of a statement said by the much-loved Britney Spears.
Yikes, Aigoo, does that mean that in a year I'll be pregnant and think that Cheez Doodles are gourmet?
*screams*
Hmm for my 17th (my last bday) I saw TMM on the day before it closed and met Susan Egan, which was terribly exciting in my opinion. Go somewhere where you'll be the most happy and enjoy the day!

Hey, Up in Lost, you stole my birthday! Well, I guess I stole yours, now that I think about it, since I'll be sixteen. We're just having a party at home with friends... you know, music, food, general calmness. Right.
Well, whatever you decide to do, have a great birthday!

yea birthdays are about doing whatever u want to.... unfortunately i havent had that chance in the past few years... for my 17th we had just gotten back from Iowa for an Oddysey of the Mind World Compettion and we were exchausted and had lots of school work to catch up on so i didnt really get to do anything. Then for my 18th birthday that day i had lots of school projects due and that night was my senior project presentation night so i didnt get to do a thing i wanted to then. This year for my 19th bday I'll be outta school for the first time ever... (its June 2) i think im goin out to dinner with my family, o i probably have rehearsal for the play im stage managing that night then the next night my ex boyfriend(who im still friends with) is throwing a party and is gonna call it a happy birthday becca party too hehe... partys are fun

For my birthdays, I grab a bunch of friends and go laser tagging and play arcade games until we pass out. I haven't turned 17 yet but I'm already thinking on we (my friends and I) will do.

Well, the one friend, who I don't know if I'd consider a friend, really, is going to be where I am, so I'm sire we'll manage to do something. I just hate being boring and going to dinner, and home. Blahh. I want fun.
I usually don't like to make a fuss for my birthday. But I LOVE to make a fuss for my friends...
This year I was invited to dinner AND to brunch and a show! Not to mention some very special attention from a couple of friends.
In years past I have travelled for my birthday, which I always enjoy.
Whatever you decide to do, just enjoy the friends who want to celebrate with you!
