I think he's a unique kind of genius. His writing is glorious.
I think he has bright eyes.
He's no Jim Colyer.
I like the Bright Eyes. I don't know his solo stuff. He is a little whiney.
I like the Bright Eyes work best, though admittedly I haven't listened to the recent solo work as much. Oberst has some incredible lyrics even if the melodies are less compelling.
And it's Conor Oberst.

I like his Bright Eyes stuff ("A Perfect Sonnet", "The First Day of My Life", etc) and some of his work with Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band.
"Yes, the brutalities of progress are called revolutions. When they are over, men recognize that the human race has been harshly treated but it has moved forward." - Les Miserables
I used to love him and his early Bright Eyes stuff but now he annoys me to no end. I can't stand him.
