What is a script as it pertains to BWW

Whenever I try to access Broadway World from my laptop at home, the site and my computer more or less becomes inaccessible and I get a message saying something about a "running a script". BWW is the only site this happens with. I have no problems when I'm at work. Any ideas? Thanks.

It's basically the invisible coding and language that dictates how a webpage reacts to outside interactions (clicks, highlights, etc.). There are so many damn advertisements and a ton of embedded media on this site, so your issue doesn't surprise me. One thing I'd recommend is using AdBlock with Google Chrome. That will limit the amount of scripting.

It's much better in Chrome, but there are occasional bad days, or hours, or minutes when posting or just getting a box to appear can be a challenge.

They can't be disallowing them, many users have been running the same script for years on here..
