What is the point of Ashanti?

I'm sure she's a lovely girl, of immeasureable worth to her family and friends. But why does she feel the need to release her every fart on CD? And does she have a personality, or is she just saving it for a special occasion? Again - lovely girl.

Honestly. A few songs aren't terrible (with whatever they do to "correct" her voice in the studio) and she has a couple innocuous little hits, but when she sings live (perpetually SHARP!) I hear dogs wimpering.

I was talking about Ashanti the other day with some of my co-workers. I was saying that I would have seen "Coach Carter", but since she's in it than I won't. I think she can sing but I don't get how she is just SO great. It's annoying that these days being popular actor means you get the opportunity to put out a cd or vice versa.

I agree with you SWtaffy... I hate how if you can semi do one thing, you can easily get a job in the other department in hollywood. I can't stand how all the stupid disney stars are trying to sing... every single one of them! I am so sick of them, and their "pursuits of singing". We can only take so much. And I dont' want to see Coach Carter because of her either. I dont' really think that she can sing, becuase if she can, she sure isn't showing it. But everyone is right, I'm sure she is a sweet girl (unlike HIlary Duff)

All I have to say is I'm so glad that I can come home and check out BWW.com. Not one of my friends has the same taste in music as me, and if I say I don't like rap or Ashanti I get made fun of. Not that I really care, but it's nice to know I can come here and almost everyone has the same taste as me... even if it is just over the internet:o)

Now, me, I don't want to see Coach Carter because it looks like every other sports movie I've ever seen. But that's just me.
