What is the word for when you keep up to date with all the latest information and you have a wealth of knowledge in a specific field? Dictionary/thesaurus not helping...

You would say "This person is a Broadway ____________."

I think it sounds like "affunso?"

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

My God, that's it, thanks. It was on the tip of my tongue.

The other day - I forgot how to spell "was." I looked at it and was like - that's not how you spell it!

My brain cells have been depleted ever since I saw that awful Mr. & Mrs. Smith film.

I feel the same way about my brain cells lately - I find myself saying sentences that end in ......., unable to formulate words because I seem to have forgotten them - and it happens very frequently lately - I'm wondering if it's just lack of use (being out of work puts you in a bit of a vegetative state)...or just the heat...or simply the act of growing OLDER...oy vey....

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

The word you're looking for is 'geek.'

'Nerd' is also acceptable.
