I'm in an amateur photography contest and my entry made me a Finalist. Please take two seconds to click on the link above and rate my photo (10 being the highest/best).

Also, I'm curious to know what you think it is a picture of and how long it took you to figure it out.

Thanks so much!!

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

A sewage grate?

Good luck!

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

Wow, interesting guesses. Someone is nearly right.

I went into the dressing room of one of our theatres and zoomed in on a lightbulb surrounding the hair/makeup mirror. Each lightbulb is in a cage.

THANKS FOR THE VOTES! re: What's this a photo of (& vote for me!)?

I looked at it and guessed right off.

It looks like the dressing room lights at the theatre in Tucson.

It's a light bulb in a very dated fixture

*Edit* I just saw your answer. Did I guess the right state?

Nope, the theatre is in NC at my college.

They need to update those fixtures.
