That's not very sensitive, Taz. He could be dying as we speak!
And to answer the question seriously, probably Oasis's "Champagne Supernova." Where WERE you when we were getting high, I ask you?

In keeping with the new revival - "Sodomy" from Hair
I love the idea of an entire congregation singing in a church "Masturbation can be fun".

My grandma always said, "I don't care if I go in July or in November, I want Christmas music at my funeral, because that's the happiest music of all."
She left us a week before Christmas... and we did honor her wishes.
I'm totally with her on that - if I die in May, I'm gonna have Christmas music!

Take A Bow - Madonna
A wonderful, beautiful song, VERY appropriate for a Theater nut like me (The show is over, say goodbye) and sung by my most beloved artist in the world ! All the lucky bastards who stay back, will bawl their eyes out !

I'm thinking the theme from "Bewitched," or maybe "Jaws."
Followed of course by the Love Boat theme.

For real, though, "To The Stars" by Randy Edelman. I've always reached for the stars. In death, I hope to get to.

"The Song That Doesn't End," from the Lamb Chop show
I want everyone who goes to my funeral to sing it throughout the entire funeral procession. And everyone has to sing it and look like they're totally into it (clapping in time, maybe?) or risk looking like a disrespectful prick.

lol Raspberry ... I love that song! :)
For mine, I'd like some hymns sung with misunderstood lyrics instead of the actual lyrics. For instance, instead of "Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me," people would sing it as "Jesus, Save Your Pie For Me". (And hopefully, He will!)
Really though, whatever helps and comforts the loved ones I leave behind is fine by me. - Barb

I want the original French version sung by Charles Trenet and the English version by Judy Garland. (There won't be a dry eye in the house, and that's how I want it!!!)
I WISH YOU LOVE (Que Reste-T-il De Nos Amours ?)
(Albert A. Beach / Charles Trenet)
I wish you bluebirds in the Spring,
To give your heart a song to sing;
And then a kiss, but more than this I wish you love.
And in July, a lemonade,
To cool you in some leafy glade;
I wish you health and more than wealth, I wish you love.
My breaking heart and I agree
That you and I could never be,
So with my best, my very best, I set you free.
I wish you shelter from the storm,
A cozy fire to keep you warm;
But most of all, when snowflakes fall,
I wish you love.

Me parle des amours mortes
Dites-le-moi
